Bruin Overnight Experience for Out-of-State Students

The Bruin Overnight Experience, April 14 – 15, offers out-of-state students an introduction to UCLA's environment. Come experience the beautiful campus, connect with other incoming freshmen, and meet current UCLA Bruins who will share their insights on classes, campus life and all that the city of Los Angeles has to offer. The Afrikan Student Union hosts Black by Popular Demand

The Afrikan Student Union (ASU) invites admitted black students to spend four days and three nights with other black students at UCLA from April 13 – 16. Attendees will learn about all the exciting opportunities that UCLA and Westwood have to offer and experience a step show, ASU networking opportunities and community development workshops, all while interacting with other black admits and black Bruins. The weekend event is free and all meals will be provided.

The American Indian Student Association hosts First-Year Admit Weekend

The American Indian Student Association (AISA) at UCLA invites admitted American Indian students to an informative and fun-filled weekend stay from April 13 – 15 to better develop their understanding of life at UCLA and connect with current AISA members and alumni. Attendees can tour the campus, sleep in the residence halls, eat in the dining halls, tour the American Indian Studies Center and participate in UCLA Bruin Day. A panel of students and alumni will answer questions regarding classes, majors/minors, scholarships and college life in general. Come have a great weekend, and get to know other incoming freshmen from partner organizations.

El Movimiento Estudiantil Chicana/o de Aztlán (MEChA) hosts the 18th Annual Raza "Day" Weekend

MEChA invites admitted students and their families to attend MEChA de UCLA's 18th Annual Raza Weekend, which aims to educate newly accepted, self-identified Chicanx and Latinx students about their cultural identity, the challenges people of color face and what it means to be a brown student in higher education. The event, held April 14 – 16, includes performances, guest speakers, alumni networking and workshops about the many organizations and academic resources available to students of color at UCLA. Admitted students will have the opportunity to stay in the dorms overnight for two nights with a current UCLA student. This dorm-life experience gives attendees the chance to become more acquainted with the campus and bond with other admitted and current UCLA students.

The Pacific Islands’ Student Association hosts Freshmen Admit Weekend

The Pacific Islands’ Student Association (PISA) at UCLA welcomes Pacific Islander students to attend the 2017 PISA Freshmen Admit Weekend, which runs from April 13 – 15. PISA’s goal is to provide students from the Pacific Islands with a sense of family on campus while also introducing them to all the resources and tools available to them through UCLA. The event includes campus tours, community meals, a student panel to answer lingering questions and much more.

The Pilipino Recruitment and Enrichment Program hosts Bruin Life Weekend

Discover all UCLA has to offer, academically and culturally, during Bruin Life Weekend, hosted by the Pilipino Recruitment and Enrichment Program (PREP). This three-day, two-night event from April 13 – 15 is a great way to experience firsthand what it’s like to be a Bruin, get to know the Pilipino community on campus and learn about the many resources available to Pilipino students. Bruin Life Weekend also includes Bruin Day on April 15, and it is all free of charge.

The LGBTQ community at UCLA welcomes admitted students to the fourth annual Pride Admit Weekend. Held from April 13 – 15, this three-day event promises a space of community and belonging and a unique experience focused on identity, affirmation and empowerment.

Southeast Asian organizations host the Southeast Asian Admit Weekend (SEA)

The ninth annual award-winning Southeast Asian Admit Weekend at UCLA, held from April 13 – 16, is a four-day, three-night program that gives students the chance to experience UCLA in a more personal setting. Attendees will stay with current UCLA students in residence halls and enjoy some of the best college food in the nation. In addition, they will meet prospective and current students, tour campus and attend UCLA Bruin Day. This is a great opportunity to learn about life as a Southeast Asian Bruin and discover all the resources UCLA has to offer. The entire weekend, including all meals, activities, lodging and bus transportation from certain areas, is free. Space is limited to students on a first-come, first-served basis.
