MATHIAS BOTANICAL GARDEN AT UCLA

Come explore global plant biodiversity in the serene 7.5-acre Mathias Botanical Garden at UCLA. The garden serves as an outdoor classroom, research center and relaxing oasis. This living, breathing museum is home to thousands of species of plants from all around the world, representing ecosystems ranging from the desert to the tropical rainforest. It's also home to wildflowers and a manzanita sapling, a fire-adapted California shrub, which were planted during a moment of reflection event marking the one-year anniversary of the Los Angeles wildfires. A plaque nearby pays tribute to community members who were impacted by the fires. Admission to the garden is free.
