The Bruin Resource Center's Bruin Guardian Scholars (BGS) program provides support to youth who have previously engaged with the child welfare system and experienced any of the following: foster care, kinship care, guardianship placement, transitional living arrangement, probation youth as a ward of court, or placement in a group home or other institutional care setting within the U.S. The BGS program offers academic advising, mentoring, financial scholarships, textbook scholarships and internship opportunities.
