Foster Youth Resources (Guardian Scholars)
The Bruin Resource Center's Bruin Guardian Scholars (BGS) program provides support to youth who have previously engaged with the child welfare system and experienced any of the following: foster care, kinship care, guardianship placement, transitional living arrangement, probation youth as a ward of court, or placement in a group home or other institutional care setting within the U.S. The BGS program offers academic advising, mentoring, financial scholarships, textbook scholarships and internship opportunities. Come learn about the many activities and events held throughout the year, and begin your Bruin journey by connecting with other members of the BGS community.
