INVERTED FOUNTAIN

Listen carefully and you'll hear the sound of a flowing mountain stream on the south end of campus thanks to the currents of this unique, inward-swirling fountain, which was inspired by Yellowstone's bubbling mud pots and hot springs. Over the years, the fountain has become the subject of UCLA legends, including one that asks new Bruins to touch the water during orientation, then warns them that doing so again before graduation will add an extra quarter to their academic year. True or not, you may spot graduating seniors wading into the fountain to celebrate their last final exam.
